"This movie was a horrid disgrace to filmography and Spielburg should be taken out and shot." or, this is my particular *actual* favourite, which I got from The Goonies website.. : "Still, one point can not be avoided - the numerous references (both verbal and visual) to penises and feces. Evidently meant to symbolize the extremes of life and death, their constant appearance in the film must work as a verbal and visual elixir to tantalize the pre-adolescent youths for whom this film is intended." Either way, I don't think I'd really refer to the kids movie The Goonies as being .. about feces and penises, but to each is own. And thats why I slipped that in there mostly.. sometimes I like the oddest movies, not as mainstream, not as well liked (I have an obsession for formulaic eighties movies of nearly any kind).. but I do know what I like and don't like (Like: Dogma Dislike: The Musketeer. ARGH.) I'm not claiming to be any sort of discerning critic -- because, quite frankly, I'm biased. If I like the actor/actress, I'm going to try my hardest to like the film, even if its a horrid waste of film. (However, if I like it purely for the players in it, I will attempt to clarify that.) So consider this your forewarning to not take every review I make seriously. (Unless its sorted into the "BLUE PILE O' EVIL", as then, it means, that you should seriously not waste $10.50 on a theatre ticket, or even the $3.00 for the rental, or even the price it costs to your precious time to watch it on television. When I say evil, I mean HORRIBLE FILM, and you'll probably hate it. (Unless you watch it and you like it and it turns out I just have bad taste) Either way, I am now going to stop rambling and contradicting myself.) Carry on. __RandoM__
